Always show Today first in the Week view
I have my Calendar configured in the Week view. At the end of the week, it really makes little sense to me to mainly see my meetings and appointments of the past few days. I'd much rather see today's planning and the ones from the upcoming days or next week.
Is it possible to always show today first when I switch to my Calendar folder?
Yes, it is possible to always show Today first in a week view but, counter intuitively, you actually need to use the Day view to achieve that.
Select the amount of days to show in the Day view
A bit of a hidden feature of the Calendar is that you can select how many days are visible by using the ALT+0-9 keyboard combination (don’t use the numbers on the NUM-pad area for this).
With ALT+1 you’ll see 1 day, ALT+2 shows 2 days, etc… and ALT+0 shows 10 days.
Upon leaving the folder or even after restarting Outlook, the selection will stick and will always show Today first.
With ALT+7 you’ll have a Week View which always shows Today first.

Note: As an alternative, you can also hold CTRL or SHIFT to select up to 14 days by clicking on the dates in the Date Navigator. While you can make a non-adjacent selection this way, this selection is not remembered when returning to the Calendar folder, just the amount of days.
Make it stick even better!
Even though your preference will be remembered, it is still easy to lose this preference when you start browsing through your Calendar or when you click on a date in the Date Navigator.
A method to prevent this from happening is to lock your Calendar view via the LockViews macro. With this macro, you can lock your current view settings, including the amount of selected days.
So no matter how much you then browse through your calendar, upon leaving the folder and returning to it again, by selecting it or using CTRL+2, your view will be back to how you wanted it with Today showing first.
