Add a Shared Mailbox to your Folder List in Outlook on the Web (OWA)
Select next unread message automatically
When I return after some free days, I handle all my unread mail starting at the bottom (as it is the message that I received first after I went away).
When I'm done with the email, I usually either delete it or move it to another folder. After this, Outlook automatically selects the email before it; which I've already read.
Can I make Outlook to move up the list of message and thus automatically select my next unread item instead of going down the list of received messages?
Still using an @hotmail, @live, @msn or @passport email address? Switch to an @outlook address!
I've been using Outlook.com ever since it was called Hotmail and thus still have my original @hotmail.com address.
However, now that it has been called Outlook.com for quite some time, should I switch my address to an @outlook.com address or should I be worried that my @hotmail.com address eventually will go away?
QAT and Ribbon settings not saved upon logoff
We're in a network where not everybody has their own working space with a computer but simply uses a spot that is available. Upon logging in, all my settings are there and Outlook works as is should. However, I noticed that my customizations to my Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) aren't there.
I can reconfigure it and when I return to a computer which I've already used, they are there as well so I guess they are only stored on the local machine.
I can backup and restore my QAT settings manually each time but isn't there an easier way similar like the rest of my Outlook configuration "travels" with me?
Delegate permissions vs. Folder permissions
When I want to grant someone permissions to my Exchange mailbox, I found that I can either do this via the Delegates options dialog or via a right click on the folder-> Properties-> tab: Permissions.
I noticed that the people for which I set the permissions per folder do not show up in the Delegates dialog. Is that correct?
What are the differences between setting the permissions via the Delegate dialog and the Permissions tab?
Quick Commands Bar to Delete, Reply, Move etc… on the right side of a message
I just upgraded to Outlook as part of Microsoft 365 and I seem to be missing something that I really liked in my previous version of Outlook.
I had this vertical list of “Quick Commands” on the right side of the Reading Pane which allowed me to Delete, Reply to or Move a message and various other things.
This was very useful to me as I have the Ribbon minimized as it takes up too much of my vertical viewing space. I could add them to the Quick Access Toolbar but I’d rather have them on the right, next to the message.
Is there any way to get this vertical bar with Quick Commands back?
Keyboard shortcuts for Outlook on the Web, OWA and Outlook.com
I’m a real “keyboard junkie” and am quite familiar with the keyboard shortcuts that are available in Outlook itself.
Sometimes I use the web based version of Outlook and often forget that it isn’t the Desktop version but was pleasantly surprised that some of the keyboard shortcuts still work.
Is there a list of available keyboard shortcuts for Outlook on the Web?

New mail alert for delegate or shared mailboxes
I receive new mail alerts just fine for my main Exchange account, but I do not receive any alerts for when a mail arrives in any of the Inboxes of my additional mailboxes.
I’m an owner of some of these mailboxes and a delegate for others but need to take action on the emails that arrive in any of them.
Is there any way I can also get a new mail alert for these mailboxes?
