Do you want to allow outlook.com to use additional storage on your computer?

Here I have the option to choose between “Yes” and “Not for this site”.

What is triggering this question and what does it want to store?

Send files and report updates automatically

My work involves updating a spreadsheet with new information and then send out this updated spreadsheet directly to several customers. At the end of the week, I also have to send them the latest report.

The way I do this now is by using a draft message which is pre-addressed already. Once I'm done updating, I open a copy of this draft, add the latest spreadsheet as an attachment and send it out.

For the report I do something similar and have a recurring task reminder set at the end of the week to remind me to send it out.

Since this is a very large part of my work (I update multiple spreadsheets and send out multiple reports), the Outlook process is rather cumbersome. Is there any way I can skip a few steps in this process?

Directly open originally blocked attachments

For my work, I regularly work with files that are blocked by default by Outlook. I've been able to unblock them via the Level1Remove Registry value but then I'm still being prompted to save them to disk first before I can open them.

I understand that completely unblocking them poses a certain risk, but as these are mainly shortcuts (lnk-files) and script files (such as vbs-files, which I've configured to open with Notepad by default), my increased productivity will outweigh the theoretical increased risk by this change.

Is there any way to completely unblock these Level1 attachments?

Junk E-mail marked as Not Junk getting marked as Junk again

I'm using Outlook on multiple computers which apparently is causing a problem with the Junk E-mail filter.

On one computer, which I use daily, I've taken all the false positives out of my Junk E-mail folder and moved them back into my Inbox or other folders.

When I'm traveling, I'm using a laptop but when it collects all my emails since the last time I used it (which can be for over a week), it rescans all the emails that are being synced and most false positives end up in the Junk E-mail folder again.

How can I prevent this from happening?

Importing from Outlook Express, Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail on Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10

I’ve just switched to Windows 10 and found that it no longer ships with a mail client as Outlook Express in Windows XP, Windows Mail in Windows Vista, nor can I download and install Windows Live Mail anymore. My version of Office does contain Outlook and I now want to use that.

How do I get all my original emails into Outlook?

Backing up all Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) customizations at once

After making several changes to the Ribbons and Quick Access Toolbars in Outlook, I wanted to make a backup of my customizations.

There is an export button for this in the “Customize Ribbon” and “Quick Access Toolbar” section of the Options dialog but this only backs up the customizations for the current item window and not all the item windows which are available in Outlook. This makes the exporting process quite cumbersome.

Is there a way to backup all the Outlook Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar customizations at once?
