Categories and IMAP accounts
I'm using a Gmail IMAP account with outlook, and I noticed that the categories option is not available; there is no way to categorize anything.
Why is this and is there a workaround for this?

I'm subscribed to quite a number of RSS feeds for a long time and I've noticed that these feed folders are getting quite big by now.
Is there any way to automatically delete the items that are, let's say, older than a week?
Over a period of time, we've been receiving emails with feedback information. We've collected these messages into a separate folder. Now we want to reply to these messages with the results of the feedback and a thank you note. Considering the amount of messages, replying to each individual message isn't an option.
How can I reply to all these emails in a specific folder at once?
When I try to delete a folder or move a folder, I get:
"Cannot Move The Items. The Folder is Full."
If I try to rename a folder, I get:
"Cannot rename '<new folder name>'. The Folder is Full".
I get this even with folders that have nothing in them.
Permanently deleting (SHIFT+DELETE) doesn't work either and results in the error:
"The message interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."
How can I get Outlook back to work again?
I've created a list of Categories in Outlook which I don't like to lose so I thought about backing them up. Unfortunately I couldn't find an export/import option for this.
How do I backup my Categories and, if possible; can I also copy or restore them to another mail profile?
Over the years I’ve created a lot of contacts and due to merging and synching of data during that time, I sadly also have quite some duplicates.
Does Outlook have an option to delete or merge these duplicate contacts?
Ever wanted to include a screenshot in your email?
For instance, when requesting technical support or providing it, it often can be handy to include screenshots directly in your email message to clarify an issue or to provide instructions.
Outlook does actually have a cool feature to quickly insert a screenshot or a clipping, but there are even more way to easily and quickly insert a good looking screenshot in an email.
When clicking on a mailto link, Outlook used to get opened and I could write my email. Now, when I click on a mailto link, it brings up the Gmail webpage while I don't even have a Gmail account.
I've already made sure that Outlook has been set as my default mail client in Windows, but mailto links still bring me to Gmail.
How can I get mailto links to open with Outlook again?
When typing an address in the “To:” line I get a list of addresses to choose from. There are several of these autocomplete recipient names in there which I’ve mistyped and also some that I don’t use anymore.
How can I remove these? They are not in my Contacts folder either. Where are they?
