In Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, there is a Contacts folder in your user directory. When using Windows Vista, I used Windows Mail and the contacts that I created were stored in that Contacts folder. Now I'm on Windows 7 (and soon on Windows 8) and I want to use Outlook.
How do I get these contacts from the Contacts folder of Windows into the Contacts folder of Outlook?

I heard that pst-files can grow as large as 50GB in size but also heard that issues will occur when it grows beyond 2GB.
My guess is that the difference is a technical limit versus a recommended limit.
Currently, my pst-file is reaching the 2GB and I wonder what I should do. Obviously, I do not want to run into issues but I prefer to keep my mailbox in a single pst-file rather than to create many little ones.
Which maximum pst-file size would you recommend?

I've noticed that my ost-file for my Exchange account is much (much!) larger than my own mailbox.
Aside from my own mailbox, I also have the mailbox of my manager and a colleague added to Outlook as I am a delegate for them. It appears that Outlook fully caches these mailboxes which both include a lot of large emails.
Is there any way I can configure Outlook to only cache the Calendar and Contacts folder?

After updating my Surface tablet to Windows 8.1, I now also have Outlook available to me.
I know some things are not available like macros and 3rd party add-ins and such, but I also noticed that the Junk button is grayed out.
The fact that the button is there makes me believe it can be turned on somehow but I can’t find it.

Yesterday’s tip was about getting rid of the EULA notification but have you taken the time to read it before?
It's actually worth it as it states that you can use it on a second device as well within the same single license without any additional cost.
