I've enabled my Automatic Replies (Out of Office) and have sent myself a message from my private account to see how it would arrive. Sadly, I never received this automatic reply.
Why isn't it working and how can I make it work reliably?
I get an error message when trying to add an appointment to my calendar:
"The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator."
What can I do to repair this?
For some of my new emails, I receive multiple new email alerts. These alerts come at the same time or within seconds from each other.
When I check in Outlook, I can see that I only received the message once. I also have no rules configured in Outlook to display a New Mail Alert for certain messages.
How can I get rid of these double alerts?
Looking at the folder size of my Calendar, I noticed that it takes up a lot of space. This is very well possible since I often store attachments with my Calendar items or receive Meeting invitations with attachments.
Now I'm looking for a way to locate the largest items and clean up their attachments.
Which method would be most effective?
When I attach a file, I get list of recent files that also includes movies and songs and other items that I will never email. Most of them are too big to attach anyway.
Is there any way to filter the Recent Items list, limit the amount of files being shown there or get rid of it completely?
Iβve been trying out the Clutter feature over the past weeks but I decided that it is not really helpful to me. I already move many of my emails by rules and I can handle the remaining emails that end up in my Inbox folder so needing to check a second folder sometimes is actually more annoying.
Iβve already disabled the Clutter feature and Iβve deleted the Clutter folder in Outlook too but it keeps coming back.
How can I completely get rid of the Clutter folder?
I'm keeping my emails sorted by contacts where each contact has its own dedicated folder so I later can quickly find back any conversation with that person.
Your "Todayβs Unread Mail folder" tip helped me a lot to easily find back any new items.
I still like my sorting method but it's really hard to find back any rules (sometimes my contacts change address) as I really have over a hundred of them now. Also, I feel that Outlook gets slower with each rule that I add. I also tried to mimic my sorting method at work but then I hit the rules limit quite quickly.
Is there any way to overcome these issues without me changing my sorting method?
We are an international company with international clients but in various countries we offer localized versions of Office and Outlook to our employees.
A downside of this is that when replying or forwarding, Outlook also adds localized prefixes to the subjects such as "AW" and "WG" (for the German version) which causes confusion with the recipient as they may not be German themselves.Is there a way to force Outlook to always use the more standard English "RE" and FW" prefixes?
I regularly need to send out emails which discusses multiple topics (an internal newsletter) and found out that topics as the bottom are regularly overlooked as people donβt tend to scroll down all the way.
I therefor want these email messages to contains an index at top with links people can click on which takes them directly to that section within the email. This would be similar to inserting a Table of Contents (TOC) in Word.
Can I create such indexes within emails as well?
Since recently my calendar shows (2) behind it in blue.
Did I somehow copy my calendar? I cannot rename it back either.
