Recovering a missing or corrupt pst-file
I’m not really sure what happened, but this morning, one of my pst-files was missing and for another I got the error;
Errors have been detected in the file <path to pst-file>.
When trying to scan it with the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe), I got the error;
The file <path to pst-file> is not an Outlook data file (.pst).
When trying to start Outlook now, I get the error;
Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened.
What should I do now to start Outlook and to get my data back?
Quickly deduplicate contacts without 3rd party tools
Creating a shared group calendar without Exchange
For our sports club, I’m trying to create a calendar with our schedule to which everyone needs to have access. We don’t have Exchange but just a bunch of private POP3, IMAP and Outlook.com and Hotmail accounts.
Some of us need to have full read/write access but for others read permissions will do.
Would it still be possible for us to create a shared group calendar?
Recover Deleted Items doesn’t work
Delete duplicates after emails got redownloaded
Always show Today first in the Week view
I have my Calendar configured in the Week view. At the end of the week, it really makes little sense to me to mainly see my meetings and appointments of the past few days. I'd much rather see today's planning and the ones from the upcoming days or next week.
Is it possible to always show today first when I switch to my Calendar folder?
You are attempting to attach too many files at once
When I try to add multiple attachments to my email I get the following message;
“You are attempting to attach too many files at once. Try reducing the number of files being attached.”
The total size of my attachments is well below the sending limit and I’m not aware of any limit to the amount of attachments that I may send out.
Why am I still getting this error upon attaching files?
Modify the file type filter of the attachment dialog
When attaching a file to a message, it opens a dialog which lets you browse for files. When I click on “All Files (*.*)”, it allows you to choose various file types such as Word Documents, Word 97-2003, Rich Text Format, Text Files, etc...
Is it also possible to add my own file types here such as Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF-files?
