To easily sort out my newsletters from my actual emails, I’ve created an alias for my Outlook.com which is myname-newsletters@outlook.com.
Unfortunately, every now and then I tend to get a lot of spam on this address even though I don’t use it for emailing myself. I can only assume that one of the newsletters I signed up with is selling addresses.
I thought about creating an alias for each newsletter I sign up with but this process is rather cumbersome and the amount of aliases I can create on Outlook.com is limited.
Is there another way to approach this?

I am a new user of Outlook 2013. Before this I was using online Outlook.com and Outlook 2010 in combination with the Outlook Hotmail Connector.
When I installed Office 365, Outlook 2013 seemed to have set everything up fine. However, I want to create a simple contacts group for my email but the button for "New Contacts Group" is greyed out on the Home tab of the People module.
How can I create create a new Contact Group in Outlook 2013?

When I type or paste an URL in my message in Outlook on the Web (OWA), some sort of preview is sometimes added with a logo and a description of the website or a still image of a YouTube video.
It looks OK but unfortunately, sometimes it doesn’t work and sometimes it is being added in the middle of my sentence after I’ve added an URL which is very awkward to say the least.
I now have the following questions about this feature;
- How can I fix the links that didn’t turn into Link Previews?
- How can I remove a Link Preview I don’t want?
- How can I disable the Link Preview feature completely?

I’ve accidentally deleted a message which I liked to keep and since I have Outlook set to empty delete the Deleted Items folder upon closing Outlook, I can’t restore it from there anymore either.
I do make frequent backups of my pst-file, however, I do not want to lose any of my new emails which I’ve received or sent since creating that backup.
Is there any way to recover just that single message or the folder containing the message from my backup?

Recently I have been noticing that whenever I create a new message, reply or forward messages in Outlook, any hyperlinks and/or pictures in the message are replaced by
{HYPERLINK "mailto:______@_____.com"}
or
{HYPERLINK "http://www._____.com" }
or
{INCLUDEPICTURE "cid:image001.jpg@______" \* MERGEFORMATINET }
How can I reset my Outlook to include the short hyperlink when I write the message or edit it? (When the mail is sent or received it changes back to the short link).

A company I work with a lot changed its name (it actually got taken over by another company). I have quite a few contacts from that company in my Outlook.
How can I update the company name of those contacts without editing every single one manually?

I used to have a POP3 account for which I always had to backup the pst-file and I had no issues with restoring it when I needed it.
Now that I have switched to Outlook.com, I no longer have a pst-file but an ost-file.
I tried opening the ost-file, to test whether I could restore it, but Outlook doesn’t let me and expects a pst-file.
- Do I still need to make backups?
- What is the best way to backup and restore my Outlook.com mailbox?
- How do I convert this ost-file into a pst-file?

I’m using my Outlook.com account on 2 separate computers both running Outlook 2013.
I noticed that the Blocked and Safe Senders Lists of the Junk E-mail Options for my Outlook.com accounts aren’t synchronized. They used to do this when I was still using Outlook 2010 with the Outlook Hotmail Connector.
How can I sync my Junk E-mail Filter lists now that I’m using an EAS account?

I’ve configured a Connected Account in Outlook.com to read and reply to emails from another account that I own. This also allows me to receive them in Outlook without the need to configure an additional account.
A major downside of having a Connected Account is how long it takes for new emails to arrive. It seems that it only checks for new emails once every hour, which basically renders the feature useless to me.
Can I configure how often a Connected Account should check for new emails?

I’ve been trying to configure my Hotmail account (which is now Outlook.com) in Outlook 2013 via EAS but I get the following error:
There are too many devices syncing with this account. To sync using Outlook, try removing another device that is connected with this account such as a phone or another computer.
Followed with:
Line: 97
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
FolderStatus: 177
To re-try press F9...
Error Code: 0x80004005
I’m only using my account on my mobile phone and Outlook 2013 on my laptop and desktop. I can’t find a method to remove any old computers which I might still have.
How can I fix this issue and sync my Hotmail account with Outlook again?
