Whenever a reminder fires, the Reminders window comes up and Outlook crashes.
I've already tried
starting Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch
and
checked my pst-file for errors with scanpst.exe
but the crash still happens whenever the Reminder window comes up.
What else can I try to fix this?
I'm trying to plan a meeting but it seems not everybody liked the day that I picked originally. I've now got several alternatives and I would like people to vote on the meeting days and times that are available and then pick the one with the most votes.
Is there any way I can create a "vote for meeting" invitation in Outlook?
I've installed the Personal Folders Backup Add-in from Microsoft and use it with Outlook 2010.
When I had it installed in Outlook 2007, the Backup command was in the File menu and it would also prompt me to backup my pst-files when I closed Outlook. For Outlook 2010, it does not list the Backup option in the File menu nor does it prompt me to backup when I close Outlook.
How can I use this add-in with Outlook 2010?
Outlook has various alerts such as the New Mail Desktop Alert and of course the notification sound. I also have some additional alerts set via rules.
When entering a meeting or giving a presentation, all these alerts are not so nice to have anymore.
Apart from closing Outlook, is there any way to turn these alerts off all at once?
Yesterday’s post got several responses with questions about a “You’ve got mail” voice. Some people would like to know how to turn it on and others would like to know how to turn it off.
We've got a large group of people in a contacts folder and now I have to determine who of them are older than a specific age. For each of them we've entered the birthday date already but I don't know how to go from there.
Is there an easy way to filter Contacts based on their age?
When trying to create a backup copy of my pst-file, I get the following error;
"0x80070021: The process cannot access this file because another process
has locked a portion of this file."
Outlook is closed when trying to make a copy of the file so why is it still in use?
We’re using Outlook with Kerio Connect for which we also installed the Outlook Connector.
In previous versions of Outlook, we could add the account via a manual account setup procedure but our version of Outlook has a new Add Account dialog which no longer lets you select to add a Kerio Connect account.
How should I add my account now?
I’ve been using Outlook 2013 since it came out and I’m still quite happy with it.
I know that since then Outlook 2016 has come out and Outlook 2021 is the latest version that is available. Then there is also Microsoft 365 which apparently is always the latest version of Office.
With so many newer versions of Outlook, is Microsoft still committed to support my Outlook 2013 version or is it time for me to move on?
I just upgraded to Outlook 2016 and found that Business Contact Manager (BCM) is no longer working.
Where can I download BCM for Outlook 2016?
