Every now and then I come across people who still very much like Outlook Today or get contacted by people who tell me that Outlook Today is broken for them.
Officially, the Outlook Today feature has the "deprecated" status so it could be gone in a future version of Outlook. Over the years, the functionality of Outlook Today has been moved to other parts of Outlook.
Are you ready to abandon Outlook Today?
In Outlook 2010, I used to be connected to Facebook via the Outlook Social Connector. I wanted to do this in Outlook 2013 as well but the Facebook connector isn't listed as an option anymore.
When I clicked on "Connect to another social network", I'm being taken to a website which says that the Facebook Connector is included in Office.
Obviously, it is not for me. How can I add Facebook to Outlook 2013?
When starting Outlook I get the following error;
"Cannot open your default e-mail folders. An unexpected error has occurred.
MAPI was unable to load the information service msncon.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured."
How do I solve this?
I’m not sure what happened, but suddenly all my emails that were still on the mail server got downloaded again. I now have a huge list of duplicate messages.
How can I quickly clean up this mess?
I'm using a POP3 account and have Outlook configured not to leave a copy on the mail server. However, after I download the messages, they are still kept on the server as well.
Why are they still there and not being deleted?

I installed Office 2003. Restarted my computer and clicked on the outlook icon, and an error message said;
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version.
This could have been caused by installing messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook."
I reinstalled it a few times and it said the same thing. What's wrong here?
I’ve been trying to sort my mail into groups by Contact so that I can see how much communication I have had with specific people over a course of time.
However, when I set my view to sort and group by the From field, it still creates multiple groups per contact such as:
And sometimes even various other groups. This is anything but useful to me.
How can I really sort my emails from a single contact together?
I've created my HTML signature in an external application and then placed the files (including txt and rtf versions) in the Signatures folder. This signature contains a picture and looks correct when composing a new message or reply. However, when I send the message, the recipient does not see this picture.
I've successfully used this signature for years with Outlook 2010 and the issue only occurs when I send a message with this signature from Outlook 2016.
Why is this happening and how can I make my signature work with Outlook 2016?
When I try to send a message with some attachments, I get the warning that my message is too big to be sent.
How can I increase the attachment size limit?
