In my previous tip I showed how you can quickly create a new task for any document or file that you are working on.
But did you know that if this happens to be a Word document, you can create an Outlook Task for this document directly from within Word as well?

Whenever I send an attachment through Outlook, the recipient receives the email without the attachment although they sometimes say that it got renamed to winmail.dat.
It happens to all attachments regardless of who I send it to and the format of the file (e.g. PDF, Word, jpg, etc). If I send the same attachment through web mail or from another computer, the attachment remains intact and is received in the email.
I've tried turning off my anti-virus program but that's not made any difference, so I'm assuming the issue must be within Outlook itself.

I have various Search Folders in Outlook but these are not available in Outlook Web App (OWA).
I've tried to create them directly in OWA but I can't seem to find any options for it.
How do I create Search Folders in OWA?

I have multiple accounts configured in Outlook. When I create a new message, it automatically selects the sending account based on the folder that I'm currently in, instead of using the default configured account.
Is there any way to disable this?

When I use Outlook on the Web (OWA), and then hover with my mouse over a message, the following Quick Action icons become visible;
- Delete
- Mark as Read/Unread
- Flag
- Pin
I sometimes have a bit of a “trigger finger” and worry that I might hit the Delete icon by mistake. Also, as Outlook on the Desktop doesn’t support the Pin feature, I don’t use that either.
Can I somehow disable some of these Quick Action icons and assign other commands to them like Archive or Move?

Aside from my own mailbox, I’ve also added a couple of Shared Mailboxes to my Folder List in Outlook.
I also regularly use Outlook on the Web (OWA) and know how I can open another user’s mailbox, but can I also permanently add it to the Folder List on the left just like in Outlook?

I have made changes to my Inbox View but also want to have these changes in all my other folders.
Do I have to change them one by one?

I've sent out a meeting invitation but not everybody has responded yet.
Is there any way to send them a reminder to respond?
Preferably they should be able to directly respond from that message as they might have "misplaced" their original invitation.

I'm using a Hotmail account and noticed that any tasks that I create in Outlook are not synced to the server. This means that my tasks also won't sync to my mobile phone nor my other computer.
I only have quite simple tasks, usually only consisting out of a subject and a reminder and sometimes a category.
Is there any way I can make my Tasks sync with Hotmail as well?

I’ve just updated to the latest Office 365 version and my To, From, Cc and Bcc fields look huge now in comparison to what it was before I updated.
Is there any way to revert them to their normal size again?
