I've been using Outlook 2007 for quite a while already but today when I started Outlook, I got the following notification;
"Preparing Outlook for first use."
Then it shows a dialog where it appears to be importing by emails which is taking forever.
What exactly is going on here and why does Outlook state that it hasn't been used before?

I regularly receive picture attachments that are sideways and scans or faxes that are upside down so I need to rotate them before I can view them correctly.
However, when I open the picture in Outlook, the Rotate buttons in my picture viewer are greyed out until I first save the picture to another location. When I do that, the next time that I open this email and review the attachments, they are back in their original orientation.
How can I enable the rotate buttons without saving the attachments first and make sure that the changed orientation is save with the email?

In my Out of Office settings I've created a rule to forward my mail to another e-mail address whenever I enable the OOF.
However, this doesn't seem to function. When I tested it, I did get the OOF notification, but the message never got forwarded.
What am I doing wrong and how can I get this to work?

I'm getting the same spam message over and over again even though I mark it as Junk each time. I expected that Outlook would delete these messages automatically after I deleted a couple of them.
How can I train the Junk E-mail Filter in Outlook?

We're in a network where not everybody has their own working space with a computer but simply uses a spot that is available. Upon logging in, all my settings are there and Outlook works as is should. However, I noticed that my customizations to my Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) aren't there.
I can reconfigure it and when I return to a computer which I've already used, they are there as well so I guess they are only stored on the local machine.
I can backup and restore my QAT settings manually each time but isn't there an easier way similar like the rest of my Outlook configuration "travels" with me?

When right clicking on a Taskbar icon, there is a menu (Jump List) which contains application specific actions and/or a Recent list.
For instance, the Jump List for Word, provides quick access to files I've recently used and allows me to pin files which I use on a regular basis. Outlook however, does not seem to keep such a Recent list.
Is it possible to also get a "Recent items" list in the Jump List of Outlook for easy access to saved message templates?

We use custom voting options internally quite a bit (at least once a day to decide where to have lunch and/or dinner).
This works great aside from the fact that we need to key in all the answers each time. They usually are more or less the same each time though.
Is there a way to save these custom answers in a way that we can reuse them?
