Time zone independent appointments and tasks

The following question was raised in responds to; Traveling between time zones

When I change time zones, I don’t want some appointments and tasks to be adjusted. For instance, I have a daily recurring task to take my medicine at 2PM and a weekly recurring appointment to hit the gym twice a week at 5PM. When I change time zones, they could suddenly fall in the middle of the night, which doesn’t make sense.

Can I create appointments and tasks with such “absolute times” so that they always happen at those times regardless of which time zone I’m in?

Safe-listed mail still ends up in Junk E-mail folder

Even though I have marked a message as "Not Junk", safe-listed it via "Add Sender to Safe Sender List" and "Add Sender's Domain (@example.com) to Safe Senders List", messages from this sender still end up in the Junk E-mail folder.

What do I need to change in order to get these messages delivered to the Inbox?

Quickly set dates with formulas and natural text

While more and more people are starting to use the Tab button to jump to the next field (to fill out an Outlook appointment for example) instead of using the mouse, I often find people struggling when they reach a date field.

They either look at a physical calendar first to determine the future date (when the date math gets hard) and then type the date or they still grab to a mouse.

How can you do this faster and still without a mouse?

Gmail and To-Do List duplicates

Whenever I mark a message for follow up with a flag, I see that message 2 or even 3 times in the To-Do List. If I clear the flag the other items remain and only go away after a longer period of time or when I restart Outlook.

Why is this and how can I get rid of these duplicates?

Archive.pst has reached its maximum size

Upon archiving, I got the following message:

Error while archiving folder “[folder name]” in store "Personal Folders".
The file [path]\archive.pst has reached its maximum size. To reduce the amount of data in this file, select some items that you no longer need, and then permanently delete them by pressing SHIFT+DELETE. You could also consider using the new Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst) introduced with Outlook 2003 that provides greater capacity for storing items and folders.

How do I use the "new Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst)" to increase archive size?

Adding an additional or shared mailbox from the same Exchange organization to Outlook

I've been granted access to a shared mailbox on our Exchange sever. For this, I've been given the name and email address of the mailbox but I didn't get a password for it.

When I try to add the account, Outlook already resolves my current name and email address. While I can change this, it then also asks for the password which I don’t have.

How am I supposed to access this mailbox?
