I've installed an English version of Windows and also an English version of Office. However, when I go to my Calendar, I still see the names of the days and months in my native language (Dutch).

How can I switch this to English as well?

Enlarge font in the Reading Pane

We use Outlook and my employer has trouble reading some email that is displayed on his hi-res monitor because the font sizes display so small. He doesn't like using Magnifier.

Is it possible to enlarge the display of a received email either in the Reading Pane or after opening it?

Close email automatically after replying

I prefer to read emails by opening them in their own window rather than using the Reading Pane.

Whenever I press Reply, Outlook opens a new message window but the original message is still left open as well and needs to be closed manually after I sent my reply.

As I often switch between applications while writing a message, this opened message gets “hidden” behind other windows and I end up with many opened message windows by the end of the day.

Is there a way to automatically close these windows when I reply?

Using the Full Name field of a Contact in a Mail Merge

I’m doing a Mail Merge within Word with Outlook’s Contacts data as the source.

Within my template, I’m trying to insert the “Full Name” as it is displayed in the Contact form in Outlook, but I can’t seem to find that as a selectable field for the Mail Merge in Word.

I can use the “First” and “Last” field to construct it but this is a bit cumbersome and complicated when I need to account for names with surname prefixes like “Dick van Dyke” for which I’ve stored “Dyke” in the Last field and “van” in the “Middle” field.

Isn’t there a direct way to use the “Full Name” field in a Mail Merge like it is available in Outlook?

Missing features when replying in Outlook 2013

When I reply in Outlook 2013, I no longer seem to be able to insert pictures, create a table, change the message format, request a read receipt and a whole lot of other things which I was able to do in Outlook 2010.

Interestingly enough, these features are available when I create a new message or first open the message via a double click and then press the reply button.

How can I make all the features available when replying to a message as well?

Remove Outlook search results from Start Menu

When typing in the Search field in the Start Menu, I also get results from Outlook. When presenting, I often start my applications via a Search in the Start Menu as well. Obviously, I do not want to reveal my contacts (customers) and some other data that I've stored in Outlook to others when doing this.

How can I prevent the Search results to also reveal Outlook data in the Start Menu?
