Accessing the Online Archive in Outlook for Android or iOS

I’m using the Outlook app on my mobile device but it doesn’t seem to support the Online Archive as I can’t find it anywhere.

I tried to work around it by using Outlook on the Web in my browser, but that doesn’t show the Online Archive either even though it does show it when I use Outlook on the Web on my Desktop.

How do I access the Online Archive when I’m working on my mobile?

Can’t connect to a Shared Mailbox I’ve been granted access to

My colleague granted me permission to her mailbox but when I try to add it to Outlook I get the following error;

When I try to expand the folder list, I get another error;

Cannot expand the folder.

She double-checked the permissions and even set it to “Owner” level but I still can’t access it from Outlook on my computer.

How can we make this work?

Move emails from unknown Contacts out of your Inbox folder

I know Outlook offers ways to move emails from certain people into different folders. However, I’d like to do the reverse; Move emails from unknown contacts into a different folder.

This way my Inbox will only be filled with messages from people I know instead from people I don’t know.

Sorting and grouping messages together based on their content but within a single folder

I’m receiving various notification emails from the same address which I all store within a single folder (I move them there via a rule based on the From address).

Their subjects are non-distinctive but their message body however holds specific information which I like to group them together by within that folder. With grouping together I mean similar as how you can group messages from the same sender together or messages with the same subject.

For instance, our sales system sends out an email that there is a new order, but what has been ordered is stated in the message along with further details.

Is there a way to still group these messages based on what has been ordered without spreading them out over multiple folders?

Delegate permissions vs. Folder permissions

When I want to grant someone permissions to my Exchange mailbox, I found that I can either do this via the Delegates options dialog or via a right click on the folder-> Properties-> tab: Permissions.

I noticed that the people for which I set the permissions per folder do not show up in the Delegates dialog. Is that correct?

What are the differences between setting the permissions via the Delegate dialog and the Permissions tab?

Putting the Navigation Bar back in the Folder Pane in Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016

In Outlook 2016, there is this huge gray bar at the bottom which lists (in a very big font) Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, etc… to switch to their corresponding folder.

In previous versions of Outlook, they were listed as icons within the pane on the left which also displays all your folders.

I liked this configuration better as this was a lot smaller and therefor allows for more space to display the message list and also gives me a larger Reading Pane area.

Is there any way to put it back there and gain back some of this wasted space?
